The day starts early (0645) with the first of three industry-sponsored symposia entitled, "Multiple Healthcare Professional Care for the PsA Patient.” There is a free breakfast for attendees of the symposium.
At 0815 the conference starts with a State of the Art Lecture entitled, "Modifiable Risk Factors in RA: You Can Lead a Horse to Water But……”. This is presented by Dr. Michael Vallis.

The first plenary session begins at 1115 with topics ranging from T-Follicular Helper Cells and Autoimmunity, RA Treatment in First Nations Patients, Positive Spine MRI for Inflammation Predicts Radiographic Progression in Patients with AS, Are we Dropping the Ball in RA Treatment?, Type I Interferon and Disease Activity in Childhood SLE, The Risk of Growth Retardation and Obesity in Children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis , and Treatment Preferences of Patients with Early Rheumatoid Arthritis.
At 1330 the second of three industry-sponsored symposia is titled, "Novel Therapeutic Strategies: The Fruits of Translational Research."
The first session of posters (#1-116) begins at 1600.
The highlight of Day 2 is The Great Debate. This year’s topic is “Treat Pre-RA” vs “Not Treat Pre-RA.” The Chair is Dr. Henry Averns so you know it’s going to be hilarious. The “For” side will be argued by Volodko Bakowsky & Derek Haaland and the against side by Hani El-Gabalawy & Rob McDougall.
