Welcome to RheumReports, your leading digital destination for ACR 2014 with real-time coverage of the entire meeting. Our team of RheumReporters is here on-site to provide expert reporting on interesting developments in the field of rheumatology.

RheumReports was devised during a lunch brainstorming session in Toronto, Canada. Rheumatologist Dr. Andy Thompson had recently presented at a bloggers conference in the city and was intrigued with the idea of blogging. He wasn't keen to start a blogging website for patients but he thought, “What if we could start a blogging website for rheumatologists?” The concept evolved from there.

The RheumReports team consists of Dr. Andy Thompson (medical overview), Marlene Thompson (project co-ordination), Kevin Firko (technical & web development), and Christina Clark (medical writing). Thanks to our dedicated and hard-working team, this program has grown from an initial concept into a fully-functional mobile news website in just three short months.

To generate fantastic content, Dr. Thompson reached out to his fellow rheumatologists who proved very interested and quite eager to work on the RheumReports project. You can learn all about this year's RheumReporters under the biographies tab on RheumReports.com. Each RheumReporter will provide a short article each day in their area of expertise based on sessions they attended at the ACR 2014 meeting.

Janssen Inc. was instrumental in providing support for the development of this project. The entire RheumReports team would like to thank Mr. Brian Rogers and his team at Janssen for their support and belief in this project.
