Hopefully you're going to avoid the temptation of a heavy late dinner with copious amounts of wine and manage a full night's sleep to feel well rested (LOL) because tomorrow starts early at 07:30. Tie your shoes on tight because this is a busy day with loads of great sessions. However, the offerings at 07:30 are somewhat sparse with a "Stats Boot Camp," "Update on Findings from Large Registries," and an AHPA talk entitled "What are Biosimilars." Don't feel too guilty if you sleep in a little.
The poster sessions open at 08:30. Did anyone say free breakfast?
Check out a talk from 08:30-10:00 (Exhibit Hall C) entitled "Comparative Effectiveness and Harms of Biologics, and Management of DMARDs and Biologics in the Perioperative Period." If this isn't of interest to you, there are other choices including "Practical Use of Registries," "Strategies for Academic Success," "Systems Biology of Lupus Nephritis," and "The ACR Gout Management Guidelines."
At 09:00 don't miss the distinguished ARHP lecture entitled "Maintaining Health and Well-Being Despite Living with a Rheumatic Disease" (254A). At the same time there's also a social media boot camp entitled "Blogging for Beginners" (153B).
From 11:00 to 12:30, the ACR is holding its second plenary session, with talks on the Sting Pathway, Denosumab, and One-Year Survival of Adults with Systemic Sclerosis Following Lung Transplantation. At the same time there is another "Immunology Boot Camp," a "Stats Boot Camp," and a talk on the use of Cannabis in Chronic Pain (sorry, no free samples). At 12:00 you can connect with colleagues at the ARHP Networking Session.
Grab a good lunch break because the afternoon is chock full of great stuff. At 13:00 catch a talk on the Classification Criteria for Gout and Myositis, Rheumatology on the Street (drug-induced rheumatic disease), or Neonatal Lupus: From Bench to Bedside.
At 14:30 there are a host of interesting topics presented either as ACR sessions or a collection of concurrent abstract presentations. Topics include Clinical Challenges in Sjogren's Syndrome, Forefronts in Lupus Nephritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis – Clinical Aspects, Psoriatic Arthritis – Clinical Aspects, Rheumatoid Arthritis – Small Molecules, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus – Clinical Aspects, and Vasculitis. Wow, loads of great topics!
At 16:30 the day ends with sessions discussing issues about Career Opportunities, Chronic Pain, Curbside Consults, Scleroderma, and Osteoarthritis.
