Dr. Stephanie Keeling

Stephanie Keeling, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Alberta and is a clinical rheumatologist. She has a general rheumatology practice that includes a cardiovascular risk reduction clinic for inflammatory rheumatic diseases, a lupus clinic, and a lupus dermatology clinic.

Dr. Keeling conducts clinical research associated with her clinics and completed a Master's degree in Experimental Medicine under the supervision of Walter Maksymowych in 2009. Her thesis investigated a screening questionnaire for inflammatory back pain.

Dr. Keeling is the local principal investigator for two phase 2 lupus trials and she is an active teacher of medical students, residents and fellows. She sits on the board of the Canadian Rheumatology Association, the Canadian Network for Improved Outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and is a medical advisory and board member of the Alberta Arthritis Society.
